Many African American women are now growing their natural hair. Some of us wear a short cut while others let it grow and keep a long length. There are many style types all of which are beautiful when cared for properly. But the first step to properly maintaining your hair is understanding your individual hair pattern. African American hair is very unique to any other culture as it has multiple textures and patterns. Here is a really cool video that I found that shares information about understanding hair patterns. I love how Pyrex gives hope to the young people in the beginning of this video. No matter your circumstances, God is still able!Evolution. What does it mean to me? Evolution to me is continuous growth. Constant improvement. Sometimes evolution happens when we least expect it. Back in 1998 when I made the decision to share my gift with the world and create a webpage I didn't picture what stands before me. Nor what lies ahead. I will be sharing the growth of my evolution starting with the first video I ever posted on YouTube. I had no real direction. Just a desire to share. It feels a little embarrassing but I'm working on my pride. Lol. It is written Despise not small beginnings. |
